You can download my abbreviated resume using the link to the right. Feel free to peruse it and get in touch with me. I have recently completed a Master's degree in Social Science and relocated to Washington, DC. I am currently conducting a job search in the area. I also do small-to-moderate web and database design projects in my spare time, specialising in Flash and blog/liveposting CMS interfaces. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a
note.

I completed the
Global Studies Programme through Albert-Ludwigs Universitaet in Freiburg, Germany and the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa in March 2006. The program began on 29 March 2004 in Freiburg, and concluded with the awarding of an MA degree on 29 March 2006.
I recently completed a 12-week internship with the Centre for Social Research in New Delhi, India. CSR is a non-governmental organisation with the mission of facilitating women's equality and empowerment in India. While there, I prepared a research report on their recently-concluded nine-year empowerment project in Varanasi. The report situated the Varanasi project and other development projects at CSR into broader development discourse and use a combination of existing theoretical models to determine CSR's guiding development model.
I am looking for work in the areas of international development and international cooperation, primarily in the non-governmental sector. My thesis topic on gender-focused empowerment projects for development enhanced my interest in gender as a functional area for development. Additionally, my prior IT experience and personal interest in internet technologies adds information and communication technologies as a second functional area. Ideally, I would like to find an organization that seeks to use targetted ICT technologies as a strategy for both economic and political development.
