Leavin'... in a Fiat

Seven years is a long time. That's how long ago I made my first trip to Europe. Uncle Don, Annie and I all took a plane to London, planning to stay for a few days and return home. I knew I would stay longer, I just didn't know how much longer. A month later, I finally came back. Out of money, and ready for a more permanent bed again.

During that trip, I met some really wonderful people. That was part of the reason I stayed as long as I did. This evening I am heading back to Paris to reunite with one of those wonderful people. Seven years ago, Nathalie was nice enough to host me in her flat and show me all the sights of Paris. I am certain the city never would have felt the same were it not for her hospitality.

So, I'll be in Paris from tonight until Monday morning. I will probably check email a few times, but my Skype number and voicemails will go unanswered for a few days. Vive la France!
