Let's compare. Remember the weather I posted last week? On the way to work today, I was actually enjoying the coolness and feeling a bit chilly. It was overcast, and for the first time in a month, my back wasn't sticking to the seat with sweat. Yesterday wasn't too bad either, which was a huge shift from a miserable Friday and Saturday.
Rumour has it that the monsoons are on their way, and it looks like it. 13 of the next 15 days are expected to be either overcast or rainy, and the temperature doesn't look like it will get near what it has been. Click on the clouds to see how happy the next five days are.
News just came in as I was writing this that the monsoons are expected to arrive on 29 June. We can expect cooler weather and plenty of rain. The pessimists tell me that the monsoons just bring worse humidity and more miserable temperatures, but the rains have caused a break in the heatwave in other parts of the North. I just can't wait for it to get here. I think we'll plan a rain party.
