Keeping warm

thermostatIt's getting a bit warm over here for team India. Yesterday the thermostat hit 48 degrees. It's forecast to hit 47 again today and stay warm throughout the rest of the week. Speculation of the monsoons is still sketchy, and I'm not convinced that they ever actually come to Delhi.

Click on the thermostat to see a little summary of the forecast here in Delhi. Pay especially close attention to the "RealFeel" temps on the far right. 137! (Sorry for you more enlightened metric readers, I gotta keep those silly Americans happy).

It's kinda funny. We all know that if you sit in a pot as it heats up, you can tolerate much higher temperatures than if you are suddenly dumped into it. It's true here too. Somehow the "137" isn't so bad. We're all sweating away, but it hasn't made anybody more crazy than usual. Things just happen a little...more...slowly...
