I recently blogged about my list of the 10 most vile things on the face of the Earth. Travelling and trying different foods may have created complications about what should be included on this list, but I'll leave it the way it is for now.
However, this program has taught me that there are a few other things I hate too:
I hate when two people who know me and comfortably speak English choose to speak a language I'm not familiar with while I am standing right in front of them. For goodness sake, just ask me to leave the room if you want to talk about me. Make it easier for all of us. Thank goodness I'm now learning French. That should help.
I hate when people who have seen me on many occasions still stare at me as if they don't know me. I mean, really. Can brushing my teeth actually be that fascinating? I feel like a zoo animal (though maybe this is good for me for once).
I hate when people assume things about me after only witnessing a behaviour once. Example: I turned down a co-worker's aloo sambar one day at lunch; therefore, I must not like spicy food. Not true. Anymore.
There are more, but I'll stop here. Coming soon: things I've learned that I love.
