T-minus 30 days

The Space Shuttle Discovery is set to launch one month from today. The launch will jumpstart a space program that some pessimists and cynics considered a dying beast. Already, there is chatter about another moon mission or the viability of a trip to Mars.

One month ago today I discovered a new anomaly. My internal pessimists and cynics began to threaten that it wouldn't happen. Already, there are sugarplums and future plans dancing through my head.

My anomaly is young.

It is vibrant.

It gives off pure light.

It takes in dark matter.

I haven't yet classified the anomaly, but it looks like it will be hanging in the sky for quite some time. I am optimistic enough to assume that the anomaly will be around for the launch of the Discovery.
