I am currently creating a top-down short-sleeved raglan. OK, big deal. Except that this involves some fun angle manipulation and geometry. And the most exciting part? I'm using knits and purls to create a top that follows (as well as knitting can) the rules of cellular automaton design.
The design forms Vs and growing and shrinking triangles. I emphasized this aspect by doing a gentle, wide V-neck, and the pattern just happened to create a large V that highlights my bustline nicely.
Math, science, and highlighted bustlines.
