Mark owes me dinner.

Just before or just after the first polls closed at 7 pm EST Mark and I made a bet. The question? Would we know within 12 hours who had won the election? By "knowing" we decided that one party would make a concession speech. If the speech was later retracted the bet was still on.

It's past 7 am EST and we don't know.

You owe me dinner, friend.

Let me add that I am disgusted that all 11 states with Gay Marriage Bans passed the bans. Pure horse feathers. Gays pay taxes and are consenting adults. You pay the taxes you deserve to have the same rights.

Let me also add that if Bush wins NOBODY should bring children (especially girl-children) into this world. If Bush has four more years Roe v. Wade will be rolled back and we'll all be going to hell in a handbasket.

I guess what depresses me the most is no matter how much environmental, social, global and economic harm this man does, millions of people will never believe him to be the force of evil that he is. I may be rethinking a few friendships...
