You would think these names could only be fake. You would think that indeed--until you heard the names of some of the students in my building.
Last year's "best" was a name spelt exactly like the female body part which starts with a V and ends with an A. It was pronounced to rhyme with "Ragina."
Baby's Named a Bad, Bad Thing.
Hey, and now we have new acronyms.
For the record, I like "Mark" and "Stina." I know "Stina" would be confused for "Christine" or "Christina" in America, but I'd use it as a middle name, named after Stina, javisst.
Signing off,
Amanda Christine who won't be the mother of an FSKS.

This may date me a little, but my favorite odd name for a woman comes from the Cagney and Lacey made-for-T.V. movie starring Tyne Daly and Loretta Switt. A prostitute was being booked and was asked to giver her name. She kept repeating 'Fee-mall-ee' (it helps to know she had a thick NY accent). Finally the clerk asked her to spell it... F-E-M-A-L-E. The clerk said that spells female. She said when your mom has 12(?) kids you start to run outta names, and she got it off the birth certificate. I think this would make a great drag name.
