Blowing things up.

This is a Guest Entry posted by Amanda

Something blew up in my classroom yesterday.

In trying to prove the law of conservation of matter with that standard "baking soda in balloon, balloon over pop botte of vinegar, watch the balloon expand with gas" experiment, I mismeasured (read: didn't measure) and the balloon expanded until it burst and my kids all went home with baking soda bits on them.

But that's not what this entry is about.

This entry is about Mount Saint Helens and how she has a webcam. Yesterday afternoon my kids watch her let off some steam.

Mount St. Helens WebCam.

I love that Bush isn't the only thing that's releasing hot air right now. Way to steal the show, Helen! Make it into the political news cycle!

Now we can only hope that the October Surprise is her eruption. Take that homeland security and shove it up your ass, Bush! I'd love to see Tom Ridge sitting on top of the mountain trying to keep it from blowing.
