Maddness

I'm so glad to see I have stimulated just a little bit of debate with my race post, and that many of you have something to say. It's very present for me right now, and so I just wanted to engage some of you. Keep the comment string going, I'm curious to see where it leads. I have research paper in that class, so I may be pressing some of you for further opinions.

I had a wonderful weekend, and a hectic start to the week. I finally went dancing on Saturday night, after I had given up all hope. Scott and I managed to connect with the "Indian" "gay" community here (I only use the qualifiers because they did), and they've really shown us a really good time. I've stuffed my face with samosas and 18 different types of curry and biltong and kachori and briyani. Mmmm. Last night we sat for hours at a coffee shop and chatted the night away.

The papers are starting to pile up already, and it seems like the reading never ends. But one thing is different: this time I am totally engaged and interested. I'm working on my own stuff on my own time, and it's working really well for me.

And last, I think Gmail is going public pretty soon, but it's still exclusive for now. I just got 5 invitations, so if you want one just drop me a line and let me know where to send it. A gig of email storage and 10Mb email attachments, I shouldn't need to sell it.

Take care all, more soon!

I, too, have five gmail invites (thanks, Mark). Feel free to email me if you want one.

Mark, hang in there. School shall be over soon enough.

By the way, ML read your PC post and says that your writing is amazing and that you should be a lawyer. I'm passing it on. I agree with her, as you already know.

PS Is "maddness" a variant spelling?
