On the plane

Note: this flight was written on 28 July 2004

I'm on the plane to South Africa. We're about an hour from Johannesburg, and I expect we are somewhere over Mozambique. I can see the sun rising out the windows to the left, and I haven't slept in 24 hours now. I'd say I'm doing pretty well.

Scott turned 25 at midnight last night, so all the GSPers on the flight (there are nine of us) gathered in the little service area in the middle of the plane, and were treated to champagne from first class while we sang Happy Birthday louder than we probably should have. Overall, the flight has been excellent.
