I only had 90 minutes

This is one paragraph of the four page essay I had to type in 90 minutes today. Don't judge, I didn't make any changes for posting it here:

Scholte's argument is valuable in the wider discussion of globalization because it includes an aspect of globalization that has been touched on, but largely neglected. Where other theorists focus only on the development of a global liberal market or the decline of the nation state as a result of identity politics and environmental dangers, Scholte ties these arguments together under the umbrella of their resultant actions. By using civil society as a unit of analysis, new aspects of globalization can be identified, as Scholte points out. However, Scholte neglects to address the fact that movements in civil society and GCS develop as a response to government or power. They fill the gaps left by these powers, but they are also directly affected by them. It is problematic to wholly dismiss the nation-state and political realm as a unit of analysis. Overall, I feel that the concept of civil society is valuable in its ability to expand the current debate. However, I think that it is unable to stand alone as the defining characteristic with which to analyze globalization.
