This is one of the few times that the Massachusetts legislature not doing anything is actually a good thing. They recessed. It's midnight, and they recessed.
For you non-Massachusetts residents (and some of you Mass residents who haven't been following), allow me to explain what this means. This bodes very well for advocates of gay marriage. They didn't vote to ban gay marriage through constitutional amendement. Yay!
Now we just have to survive the second round of attacks on March 10, and we'll be in the clear! For the time being, at least.
